THE GARGOYLES'LEGEND (64 photos)
Grotesque,hugly and terrifying gargoyles were the guardians of Good, and by extension of churches. Their terrifying aspect was visible in fact only to remind to heretics, to non-Christians, and to the enemies of God in general that divine protection already was on the building. The legend tells that gargoyles roared as Evil approached, visible (wizards, magicians, devils embodied) or invisible.

HONG KONG, CITY OF CONTRASTS (49 photos)
