The Puglie stretches over a length of about 250 miles in Italy's heel. They have gotten the smell of Mediterranean, olive oil, almond trees and sun-dried tomatoes. In the heart of this region, the Itria Valley centered on Alberobello is the realm of trulli, some mysterious dry-stone treasures which ceaselessly recount the strange marriages of Man and Earth.
