SWITZELAND - Dedicated to grapevine, its men and women are nowadays the keepers of ancient traditions and procedures.

The Lake Léman is the natural mirror where these vines, created by land, water and sun, are reflected; the secret of their wine is hidden within past and future time work

Just a district for its inhabitants but a renowned viticulture-dedicated region for everyone else…Luseaux, set between Lausanne and Montreux, between the Olympic museum and the castle of Chillon, enlarges upon city and country, lakes and mountains. Vineyards on the hillsides, plain on the plateau and mountains all around…this is variety!

Extraordinary people are settled in these harsh lands difficult to work on: they are humble but they are rich in their spirit, keepers of a thousand year-long history that shows their open-mindedness and their exemplary manners.

With the exception of its agricultural activity, Lavaux is the home to many artists and a safe haven for tourists.

On May 14th, 2007 the Federal Office for Culture announces that Switzerland received a positive advance notice from ICONOS International (the International Council of Monuments and Sites), charged by UNESCO of the survey upon Lavaux’s candidacy to be listed as a World Heritage site.
