At 30, Jerome and Sophie Maurice have decided to change their life and to travel around the world. Their idea was to become globe trotters and to discover wild lands and other cultures. With their 125 cc scooters, they did cross incredibly remote areas otherwise difficult to access . Thus, they faced the howling winds of Patagonia, the lack of oxygen in the Andes, the moisture of the Asian forests and the sandstorms of the desert of Baluchistan. They covered over 40 000 miles in 33 months and got to discover the world through the glance of children. The Maurice came back with rare interviews including the ones of quechuas pupils, living in the high lands of the Andes, the ones of the small ragmen of Phom-Penh and the one of the youth of the Middle East, to name only a few. A real challenge for this couple who spent night and day together, 24 hours a day, for 33 months travelling the world in harsh conditions. Nevertheless they did manage to get married during their trip and tied the knot in Peru. Wild landscapes, incredible bivouacs, unusual life testimonies, beautiful and rare portraits.
